1/2
Paint in Kucsora’s work is not just a medium; it’s a living field of tension, transformation, and physical memory.
Marta Kucsora’s paintings unfold through a highly physical process, fusing abstraction with a performative practice of mark-making. Layer by layer, her works become dynamic fields of movement—each surface a record of action, resistance, and intuition. Her gestural techniques, often involving experimental pouring, dragging, and layering, reject traditional composition in favor of immersive chaos. Kucsora’s canvases hold space for both precision and unpredictability, drawing the viewer into her constant negotiation between control and spontaneity.

PAINTING IN MOTION
Márta Kucsora’s work pushes the boundaries of painting as a static medium, transforming it into an evolving field of energy, gesture, and flow. Her large-scale abstractions are the result of physical immersion—layered processes where movement, material, and intuition converge. Paint is not simply applied but performed, creating dynamic surfaces that recall natural phenomena, scientific diagrams, or emotional landscapes. Rooted in both art historical tradition and scientific observation, her work speaks to a deep interest in transformation—how matter shifts, how perception blurs, and how painting can become a record of time itself. Each canvas is a terrain in flux, inviting viewers to get lost in its rhythm and complexity.
